Inside the club

What You Actually Get Inside Shipper Club

A private community is an easy thing to describe badly. So here is the concrete version: what the Neon sponsorship puts in your account, what the rest of the partner perks are worth, and what is left when you take every discount away.

Neon is backing the current batch

Neon is the sponsor of batch 3, and the headline is simple: every member of the batch gets $1,000 in Neon credits. Not a trial, not a percentage off a plan you were not going to buy — credits you spend across the whole platform.

That covers Lakebase Postgres, managed Better Auth, functions, S3-compatible object storage that branches alongside your projects, and the AI gateway that puts every model behind one API and one bill. If you have been rationing a side project against a free tier, this is the thing that removes the ceiling. You claim it from the member portal once you are in.

Two more things ride along with it. Neon swag ships to you when you join the batch. And there is a dedicated #neon channel in the Discord where their team actually answers — branching, migrations, the gateway, credits. That channel is open to everyone in the club, not only the current batch.

The batch also carries a giveaway: ten tickets to Vercel Ship in San Francisco, drawn at random from the 100 members of the batch. Winners get announced as they are drawn.

The perks stack past $1,400

Neon is the biggest line, but it is not the only one. Mastra adds $200 in credit. Postmark adds $75. On top of the credits sit standing member discounts on supastarter, Shadcnblocks, Shadcn Space, Nucleo, and React Bits.

Valued at each product's entry tier, current partner offers come to over $1,470 in member discounts — comfortably more than the price of a seat, which is the point. Most people make the membership back on the Neon credits alone before they have used anything else.

What is left when you remove the perks

Discounts are the easiest part of a community to advertise and the fastest part to stop mattering. The reason people stay is duller and better.

There is a weekly meeting — a call where you show what you are building, ask for feedback on it, or bring up whatever you are stuck on. There is a Discord that is busy on a Tuesday afternoon, not just on launch day. There are live video calls when text stops being enough.

Alongside that sits the written material: a newsletter on what is actually new in tech rather than recycled noise, the resource library of tools and references, and a set of builder workflows with downloadable skill files for Claude Code — design taste, hero sections, landing page builds, reference hunts, overnight AI tasks.

You get a place on the map

Every member gets a public profile, a spot on the member world map with your city, and a slot in the showcase for what you are shipping. It is a small thing that turns out to matter: it is how people in the club find the other person who has already solved the problem they are staring at.

How the batches work

Membership is sold in batches of 100. Each batch costs more than the last — it started at $99 and climbs to $399 — and the price you join at is the price you keep. Early members are not subsidising latecomers; it works the other way around.

Right now the club is 235 members deep, and batch 3Shipper, at $149 — is the one that is open. There are 65 spots left, and Neon's credits are attached to every one of them.

When the batch fills, the price steps up and the Neon batch closes with it. That is the whole pitch, without the adjectives.
